Scanning, also faxing

At my institution, all equipment (copies, scanners, etc.) that's not in a
public area cannot be used by the public. (I don't have a scanner
available for the public.)

For those patrons who want scanned photographs, one might consider charging
them for it the same way for photographic reproductions. For example, a
fee for the scanned copy itself, extra if they want photo paper, plus staff
time. I'm considering doing this for my patrons.

By the way, what should I charge a patron for faxing materials to them? I
have established a fee schedule for mailing copies but not sure what to do
about local faxes and long distance faxes. Any suggestions?
