Re: Location of Archives on Civil War hospitals

According to J. Neagles ref: you ought to contact Mississipp Dept. of
Archives and History in Jackson # 1(601) 359-6876. It also appears that
there are micro form recvords at Nat. Archive in groups M918. Try the
Adjutant General Office in Miss. too but don't let some National Guard
historian weenie tell you that the records do not exist.. Probably they are
under the Adjutant Generals office control or were transferred to the State
Archive in the 1950's Better yet... Call Dr. Betty Drake Armed Forces Museum
Bldg. 350 Camp Shelby 601-558-2757. She is a higly respected Military
Historian in the USARMY museum system. She is your best resource.
