A little while ago I conducted an online survey to determine the direction
that I should take with my "Records/Archives in the News" postings (now
known as RAIN). From almost two hundred respondents the clear
indicator/desire was to post the urls/links rather than copy/edit the
stories themselves. The other factor causing the change was the increasing
changes in copyright law.

The New York Times offers free subscriptions to its website. It is a great
value. Unfortunately the vast majority of the articles are available for
free for one (1) day only, then they are moved to the pay for view archive.
Therefore I will post a NYTimes story only if it is available for more than
a day. The technology stories (Cyber Times) are around for about a week.

So I will continue to supply the urls and links. It is up to you, the
individual, to go and get the story.
