Abstract: The presentation will focus on the process of Business Continuity
Planning, specifically making reference to COMDISCO'S Seven-Stage Recovery
Methodology and Continuity Life Cycle models. Terminology will be defined
that is used in the creation of Business Continuity Plans, stressing the
importance of recovery being driven by business factors, not technology
factors. As time permits, an interactive tour of The ComPLETE Continuity
Resource, the industry's first CD-ROM based business continuity education
tool will be presented where dynamic graphics and interactive audio/video
reinforce the information presented.
Recovery statistics from the world leader in business continuity and
availability services will be presented as a reference point for the topic.
The presentation will also include numerous recovery "war stories" and
practical examples.
