English version follows

corps professoral.

The University of Montreal Archives is very pleased to announce the
opening of a virtual exhibition entitled : Sciences et modernité : la
petite faculté de luxe 1920-1945
The exhibition is available at one of the following address:

This exhibition is the first of a kind at the Division des archives. It
traces the beginning of teaching and research in the Faculty of
Sciences at the University of Montreal. Created in 1920, the Faculty of
Sciences was to become a motor for the economic and scientific growth of
French Canada. It's creation was seen, in the Province of Quebec, as
the entrance in modern times.
The goal of the exhibition is to express gratitude to the founders of
the Faculty and give them recognition for what they have accomplished,
and also show in what kind of intellectual, material and financial
situation the Faculty grew. This exhibition indicates the importance of
the scientific work and discoveries made by those university professors.
