Re: How to Handle Old, Crumbling Newspapers?



To make the newspapers "accessible" for reading, the best thing you can
do is microfilm them and then store the originals in acid-free folders
and boxes to be touched as little as possible.  Loose clippings can be
interleaved with acid-free paper, or put in mylar sleeves if there are
only a few of them (and their value merits the extra preservation).
