Re: Arabia

I, also, lived in Saudi Arabia. My father
worked for Aramco. I, too, detest the
term "Aramco brat". The kids I knew whose
parents worked for Aramco were most
definitely NOT "brats". But that is the term
some of them decided to use when settiing
up a Web site.

I LOVED travelling, and have many fond
memories of the many trips I took with my
family back in the 1950's. Riding in a DC-4
across the Atlantic a number of times, and
once, for fun, taking the Canadian Pacific
ship "Empress of France" across the north
Atlantic to the USA. I got to travel in Europe
before it was somewhst Americanized, and
before vandalism. 'Twas a good time to travel!

Christine: A salaam aleikum!
When were you in Arabia?
Which town did you live in?
I lived in Aqaiq (which I was told meant
"father of nothing" in Arabic!) I learned
a little bit of Arabic in the excellent company
school.
