finding aids for genealogy collections

Dear Listserv members:

I have spent several hours beating my head into an
"informational" brick wall. I have decided to give up
and just ask for help:

For my internship I have to write a paper on archival
theories and principles of description and arrangement
(no problem) with due aqttention to the special
problems inherent in genealogical records (problem).
I have not found any meaty discussions of the later
part of this topic. Who out there has had to arrange
and describe a genealogist's collection of papers. I
know the problems that I have incurred in arranging
them but I'm afraid that I could summarize this in
about a page. Any resources and or websites would be
much appreciated.

Sincerely,
Katrina M. Bowling
frsutrated intern who does not want to be burned in an
offering to the archives fairy.
