Re: Jackie Kennedy's Pink Dress

I have read that the pink dress was sent to the National Archives for
"courtesy storage" by the Kennedy family. Presumably the family retains
ownership of it, and the Archives would not exhibit it without their
permission.

The matter of the pink dress came up during the Monica Lewinsky debacle,
when it was proposed that another historic dress might be sent to the
Nation's Attic (see http://www.freerepublic.com/forum/a36cb18200232.htm for
example).
