Re: That Most Searing Day



Re: Mr. O"Brien's comments concerning the events of November 1963.

How completely crass of you to make such an observation.  Prudence would dictate
that if these are your feelings on such a matter, perhaps it would be better to keep
them to yourself, rather than denigrate the significance of that day for those who
remember it with great emotion.  I was not alive during VE Day, or on Dec. 7, 1941,
but I would never dream of making a similar statement about these events.  As for
your assertion that several billion people share your feelings; ignorance, like misery
loves company.

Whoops... just when you thought a thread couldn't get any stupider,  that
ol'  'Mercan World-view thing pops up again.. sigh...  In response to Ms.
Shannon's comments, let me just say:

1. I was one year old when Kennedy was shot
2. I didn't care at the time
3. I don't really care now.
4. Several billion people - many of them quite civilized - share my feelings
on this.
