Fellow Archvial Catalogers:

I have just begun creating new MARC records for a collection of archival
municipal documents.

I seek your collective wisdom in recommending what you think are the
essential reference tools for creating MARC records for archival materials.
I have all the OCLC manuals, and a print version of LCSH.

I am specifically interested in manuals, handbooks, etc., that deal in
depth with the 6XX fields. These seem to be giving me the most trouble and
I find myself spending more time examining LCSH trying to determine which
subject headings to use than I spend actually creating the record.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
