Society of Indiana Archivists Workshop in Bloomington



The Society of Indiana Archivists and the Indiana Historical
Society are co-hosting a workshop:

Preventive Conservation for Library and Archival Materials

Thursday, 31 August 2000
10am to 4pm

Indiana Institute on Disability and Community "J" Conference Room
2853 East Tenth Street
(Located Northeast of Smith Research Center, 10th and the Bypass)
Indiana University
Bloomington, Indiana

The workshop will examine causes of deterioration including
light, temperature and relative humidity insects, handling,
storage, display and disasters. Participants will learn
basic skills and resources to address these problems in our
collections.

The workshop presenter will be Jim Canary, Conservator for
the Lilly Library, Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana.

Registration is $10.00, payable at the door. Attending
participants will fend for themselves for lunch.

There is a picnic area adjacent to the conference room. In
addition, numerous restaurants are within short driving distance.

Parking permits for the day cost $2.00.
