Susie,

Part of your problem may be trying to crease the board across the grain
instead of with it. If you are making the boxes out of two pieces glued
together, it's easy to cut the pieces so the grain runs with the crease. I
suggest contacting contacting Conservation Resources at
http://www.conservationresources.com/index.html  for large sheets. If I
remember correctly, they have sheets that run up to 40" x 60".
