Re: placing personal papers in a California archive

You might want to investigate whether there is a local historical or genealogical society that has the facilities to accept and care for the papers.

Who in California collects personal and family records? Would it be the
California State Archives, or another organization? These are personal
papers of an "ordinary family" and would include diaries, letters, and
genealogical research. The family is not interested in retaining the
records. The donor is still living, but would like to locate a repository
now.
