Re: Nuking Mold



As one who has "nuked" hundreds of books and other materials (rocks, wood
etc.), I would stay with the references that Christine Crawford-Oppenheimer
mentioned in her reply to this question.

The damage potential is too high for books and oven from (fire, arcing,
scorching, melted adhesives, accelerated aging, etc.) and many more that
they are too numerous to mention. Mold needs three things, moisture, proper
temperature range and food.  Take away any one (moisture for library
materials) and the mold either stops or can't get started.
