Thanks and a New Question

Denver Survivors and Left (or Right) Behinds,
Thanks for the responses to my previous question about preserving a
scrapbook. The scrapbook in question is kind of neat. It was kept by a
Marine signalman in Shanghai, China in 1937-38. It contains the
original telegrams received by the 4th Marine Regiment in Shanghai
giving the news that the US ship the Panay had been bombed and sunk by
the Japanese. Also has a cipher sheet noted to have been used to send
the Panay's call letters for the last time addressed to USS Panay c/o
Davey Jones. Other goodies include the Marines Shanghai newspaper the
Walla Walla and much else. Again thanks for your help.
New question is...The City of Douglas, AZ is building a War Memorial to
all Douglas folks who have given their lives for the cause. W.W.I is
giving them trouble. While local and state resources are being pursued
does anyone know of a national source that might give names and
hometowns of W.W.I American dead? Thanks in advance for your kindnesses
past and future. Dick King, University of Arizona
