Re: Still image used in videos--use fees

Sharon,

We charge for the number of seconds an image is used in the completed
production. This per-second charge varies according to the market for which
the production is made, but the cheapest category (Broadcast -- North
American distribution) is $15/sec. Of course, all fees are negotiable if
used in bulk, but our per-second use fee is disclosed as the MOST anyone
must pay. We have categories for the type of production (film/video,
electronic media, print media, live performance, exhibit, etc.), specific
use or market, and type of producer (for-profit or not-for-profit and local
media). The fee schedule also covers use of sound recordings, moving images
and images of documents. If you'd like to see our complete fee schedule,
I'd be glad to send you a copy. Good luck!
