SAN DIEGO, Sept. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- The Titan Corporation (NYSE:TTN) announced
today that the Los Angeles Superior Court granted Titan Corporation's
application for an order for preservation of records that may reveal the
identity of those who sold short Titan stock and anonymously distributed
false reports about the corporation. In its lawsuit filed August 30, 2000 to
stop a scheme by unscrupulous short sellers to drive down the price of Titan
stock from $44 3/4 a share to $21 a share, Titan claims the market loss in
the value of its shares was a staggering 50% or $1.3 billion between the time
of June 20, 2000 and August 22, 2000. The suit seeks damages and an
injunction against further securities manipulation.

Yeats's son gives papers to library

By Robert O'Byrne
A substantial collection of W.B. Yeats's personal papers has been presented
to the National Library of Ireland by members of the poet's family.
The collection includes about 100 notebooks and copybooks and 130 files of
papers relating to spiritualism, the occult and horoscopes. There are no less
than 3,000 pages of "automatic writing" from the hands of Yeats and his wife,
George.
Some of the material seems to have been compiled by members of Yeats's family
and social circle, such as George Pollexfen and Annie Horniman. The National
Library is now the world's largest repository of Yeats papers and
memorabilia. The latest donation to its holdings was formally presented to
the library yesterday evening at a reception attended by the poet's son,
Michael Yeats.

WASHINGTON -- Contrary to official denials, the White House has been rotating
emergency back-up tapes of e-mail to and from an off-site storage facility in
Maryland every two weeks -- until now, WorldNetDaily has learned.
In a move that concerns career White House computer operators, officials
recently put an end to the practice, leaving potential evidence under
subpoena vulnerable to mass destruction.
A federal judge seeking White House e-mails from 3,400 back-up tapes recently
expressed his own concerns about their safety.

Customs holds 'worthless' Beatles discs 36 years
http://dailynews.yahoo.com/h/nm/20000913/re/leisure_beatles_dc_1.html

LONDON (Reuters) - Britain's Customs and Excise department is still holding
10 gold discs seized from The Beatles 36 years ago, media reported on
Thursday.
Documents released by the Public Records Office revealed that when the band
failed to pay import duty on the collection in the 1960s, Customs decided
against selling the discs because they would be worthless.
The discs were awarded in 1964 to each of the Fab Four -- Paul McCartney,
John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr -- and their manager Brian
Epstein by record company Capitol to mark huge sales of ``A Hard Day's
Night'' and ``Something New'' in the United States.
