Opportunity knocks....

Eleven months employment or eleven second attention span in reading posts?
When I read Darrell's job posting I just interpreted it to mean the job
offered four weeks of vacation per year (which really IS a good deal!) But
Darrell, you just can't stop a good thread on the Archives list without some
additional jawboning and ribbing!

I know that I am as guilty as anyone on this list for not reading (and
digesting) the posts before responding. A good case in point happened last
week when we all decided that censorship was bad but never bothered to
answer the person's question! I'm glad somebody had the presence of mind to
get the proper subject terms for sexy nineteenth century scribblings...

I promise from now on to count to ten before hitting the reply
button.....nine....eight....seven....

I see that my previous posting was mis-interpreted. I did not, perhaps,
make it
clear that this is a full-time ongoing permanent job. The 11 month contract
is
a term used to indicate faculty status. Employment is full time - the
employee
will have the opportunity to choose one month for vacation. The contract is
ongoing. Julie jumped the gun and made some assumptions. AND I wasn't
clear.
Sorry. Darrell Beauchamp, Navarro College
