Re: College/University Archivists

The University of Wisconsin was founded in 1848. Class albums with
photographs were created from 1872-1890. The first printed yearbook,
Trochos, 1885-1888. The yearbook name was changed to (Wisconsin) Badger
1889-current.

Does anyone have a firm date on the beginning of yearbooks in US colleges

of the oldest institutions, what year did your yearbooks begin?

Does anyone know of the year such books first incorporated photos, first
actually had photos printed on the pages?
