Re: Ink Jet ink



Permanence of ink jet prints is a rather complex issue.  It depends on
the model of printer used and the particular ink/paper combination
chosen. It also depends on display conditions.

There are non-OEM inks and papers available for some printers that
appear to deliver significantly better longevity, sometimes at the price
of slightly reduced quality or less convenience.  Epson printers are the
most widely used by photographers and a significant industry has
developed to supply aftermarket inks and papers for that brand.

Other options include having your images output by a service bureau on a
digital printer that uses conventional photographic paper such as the
Fuji system, or on a dye sub printer.
