Re: water damage/repair query

Cindy-

Once they're stuck, that's it. The papers for annuals, magazines, etc., are
coated so they take good impressions, but the coating melts when wet, and
you have to tend to them immediately or the pages stick together. I've
never heard of any tried-and-true method of undoing such damage. The guy
can try prying pages apart with a spatula, table knife or something
similar, but I doubt he'll have much success.

Sorry the news is bad.

Hello all,
I have a phone question from an area resident who has
two high school annuals that have sustained water
damage so that the pages are stuck together. He wants
to know how to unstick the pages without further
damage to the annuals. Any suggestions?
If there are companies that specialize in this type of
repair, please let me know that as well.
I said I'd get back to him within a couple of days.
