Historical research into typing pools - information sought

Dear Archives list,

I have just been contacted by George Callaghan from the Open University who
is interested in sources for information on typing pools in businesses in
the 1970s and 1980s, and possibly earlier.

Standard Life has a little material on this, much of it earlier than 1970,
and some oral history transcripts.

If anyone has any information on sources or likely publications or
collections, could they please reply to this gentleman direct at the email
address below:-

<g.s.callaghan@open.ac.uk>

Thanks a lot.
