Re: Help w/valuation



While I am sure the issue of valuation has been discussed on the list
previously (check the archives to verify), this topic also came up on the
Australian list in March of 1999. The subject thread was "Valuation of
Archival Records." These messages can be retrieved at

What we have done is multiply the number of feet by a mythical number
corresponding to a "value" of the material, add additional value if it is
processed (based on the labor costs per foot), and add it all up. It is
usually very impressive.
