Political spam

I've been off the list for quite a while, but I do seem to
recall a policy with regard to responding to spam. Does
such a policy still exist?

If so, the original political post about voting for Gore
was spam and everyone who has responded would
be guilty of responding to spam.

Just because the topic is political instead of "make
millions fast" doesn't make it any less spam.
