Vacancy announcement: Archivist at NARA's Pacific Region (San Francisco)

The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), Office of Regional Records Services, Pacific Region, is seeking a staff archivist to work full-time in a wide range of archival program activities in the Regional Archives.  The programs include reference, both textual and electronic, preservation, description, accessioning, declassification, public programs, and special project work.  There will be a special emphasis on the military records in the unit's collection, associated declassification and reference activities, and the development of skills and knowledge in the unit's extensive database collection on holdings and specialized reference tools.  The successful candidate will have a high level of experience in archival, records management, customer service, and communications activities.  Because of the sensitive nature of the work in this position, a background check and security clearance will be required of the successful candidate.

The position will be filled at the GS-11 level (between $45,059 and $58,577, including the locality pay adjustment).
