Re: Political posts

Folks...

Now I know that we run things a little differently up here in the Great
White North....but I would make two brief observations.

First, postings are mild when you think about the fact that you really only
have two major parties...whereas up here we have the socialists and
separatists to deal with (as an aside, only in Canada could a party devoted
to pulling its province out of the country come within one seat of being
the Official Opposition...ah, but I said I'd be brief...).

Second, one day the archives of this list may be of great use in some
sociological study...if metadata is data on data, would metaarchives be
archives on archives and archivists? If so, the sociologists will either
think of us as politically active or incredibly cranky.....

Steve is right...it is almost over. And I will refrain from posting things
about the Canadian Federal election as November 27th nears...lest the
metaarchival study lead to conclusions about Canadian archivists as well...

Cheers!

Mark
