Re: change of address, AHA, etc.
Dear Lesley,
Congratulations on your new position. I have been meaning to write
just to say hello & to say that, yes, I would be interested in seeing AHA
resurrected; now I have waited so long, something else has come up that is
motivating me to write.
I have been conducting an informal survey to determine which
archival institutions are charging research fees. Haven't you worked at
Hermann Hospital, Compaq & M.D. Anderson during your career? Do you mind
telling me if any of them conduct research for members of the public &, if
so, how much they charge? I'm particularly interested in Compaq because I
would like to know what corporate archives typically do.
Whatever info you can pass along I would really appreciate.
Hope I see you before too much longer.

Colleagues, and especially fellow-SSA'ers,
I've taken a new position, as of September 5, as archivist and
assistant library
director for the Historical Resources Center at M. D. Anderson
Cancer Center in
the Texas Medical Center.
If you wrote to me at a certain "high technology company" after
August 28, I did
not receive your mail.
Houston archivists and others interested in jumpstarting the
Archivists of the
Houston Area (AHA!) should contact me at the address below.
Needless to say, I'm thrilled to be back in the Texas Medical
Center, and
especially at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center!
