marketing questionnaire

November 13, 2000

Dear list,

My name is Mary Dionne and I am conducting a brief survey on archival repositories and their outreach programs to complete my Masters in Library and Information Science from the University of Texas at Austin.

The purpose is to gauge the status, or effectiveness, of the outreach initiatives of archival repositories. Based on my findings from these comprehensive surveys, I will propose action plans for five different types of archives: academic, government (federal/state/local), thematic, business, and religious.

The questionnaire below this message is brief and should take approximately ten minutes. All responses will remain confidential, so please do not add your name to the questionnaire. Your name will be recorded as having returned a questionnaire, but will not be matched with it.

Participation in this project is purely voluntary on your part but the outcome of this study will help our archival community measure itself in terms of marketing progress. Upon completion, I would be honored to supply a copy of the final project to the repository.

If you have any questions about the questionnaire, or about the project in general, please do not hesitate to contact me by the following available methods:

Email: DionneM@state.mi.us
Phone: (512) 335-8142

Thank you, most sincerely,

Mimi Dionne
