Condederate currency

To all Archivists:

Confederate currency does have collector value!

Recently, I was talking with a possible donor of CSA letters and currency.
The archivist that they were dealing with wanted the letters but told the
donor that the currency had no value. "Give it to the grandchildren to play
with", they were told.

The currency turned out to be worth $5,000.

An archive can accept such donations and then sell the unwanted items to pay
for maintaining the old letters, or if you recommend me as a dealer, I will
pay the archive a finders fee (in the form of a donation).

This has worked well for many archives all over the country that I work with.
