Re: NYS Civil Service Exam Announcement for Archives and RecordsManagement Specialist 1 & 2

This is a follow-up to Sharon's announcement about the New York State Exams. Anyone living in the Northeast should seriously consider taking the exam. The test results will make you eligible for New York State Archives positions for the next 4 years. While most of the jobs are in Albany there are also positions throughout the state. I took the test back in 1988 when I thought I would never move away from New England. I was glad I had for some 4 years later I was ready jump into an ideal job. I've enjoyed working for the NY State Archives whose vision extends beyond caring for state agency records to assisting local governments and not-for-profits identify, care for, and make accessible their historical records.

If anyone has questions about the exam and process please feel free to contact me directly.
