Orvus paste

When I was working in museums, we used Orvus paste all the time and it is recommended for washing silk, and other delicate fabrics. It also is great for the gloves because if there is any residue, it will not damage anything. I also spent most of my teenage years using the same product to wash my horses. I have found that the best price if you want to buy in quantitiy, is horse supply houses. I could usually get a 5 lb jar for the same price as the 1 lb jar from a museum supply house. Just thought that might help some. Joan
