Assistant Librarian for Access Services
Revised from previous part-time position 
 
The Othmer Library is seeking an Assistant Librarian for Access Services
with an innovative and energetic customer service-orientation.  
 
The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills;
commitment to user-centered public services; strong knowledge of a variety
of print and electronic reference sources in business, history, and/or
science; ability to work effectively with coworkers in a collaborative
organization; and flexibility in adapting to change.
 
 
Qualifications:
· M.L.S. or equivalent from an ALA-accredited school, or equivalent
experience.
· Minimum of two (2) years library experience required.
· Online searching experience required.
· Reference service experience required.
 
 
Summary of Responsibilities:
· Provide reference services to internal, external, and remote users,
including library, archive, and development research.
· Provide orientation to collections and services for staff and visiting
scholars.
· Conduct online searches, including commercial databases and the Internet.
· Assist with collection development selection process.
· Maintain financial, administrative, and statistical records for services.
· Perform other duties as required.
