Re: Florida records retention schedule question



I don't know about Florida's retention policies, but as far as an
independant recount into the next administration is concerned the result is
academic.  After Jan. 20th the Pres. is the Pres.  It may color opinions of
Bush and the perception of his legitimacy, but history has a funny way of
ignoring the losers.  No one questions J. Q. Adams' legitimacy as president
and he won the electoral vote while losing the popular vote to Andrew
Jackson.  William Henry Harrison won by convincing an elector to change his
vote so that he won the E. C.  and his opponent (good ol' whasisname) pretty
much disappeared.  This is pretty much off the top of my head so I'm sure
I'll be corrected on those points on which I'm mistaken.
