Re: Florida records retention schedule question

Paul-

I think you have William H Harrison confused with Benjamin Harrison. According to the World Almanac William H ran against the incumbent Martin Van Buren, who wasnt just any ole whatshisname. While certainly not one of the most memorable presidents, as the only confirmed bachelor, his lack of a spouse and the existence of certain letters have created considerable discussion about his sexuality. W H won the popular vote with 1,275,017 votes and 234 electoral votes to Van Burens 1,128,702 votes and 60 electoral votes. Interestingly these two had paired off previously in the prior election.

In the Harrision/Cleveland election. Cleveland received 5,540,050 votes and 168 electoral votes. Harrison received 5, 444,337 votes (less than Cleveland) but a whopping 233 electoral votes therefore putting a period to the event.

Just my and the World Almanc's two cents
