reception for the Committee on Gay and Lesbian History at AHA



SAVE THE DATE

Toast the new year with local and national lgbt history scholars and
enthusiasts! The History Project is hosting a reception for the Committee
on Gay and Lesbian History (CLGH) of the American Historical
Association (AHA) on Saturday, January 6, 2001 at the Boston Living
Center, 29 Stanhope St., Boston, from 5-7 PM. The reception coincides with
AHA's annual meeting to be held in Boston from January 4-7. For more program information,

on Gay and Lesbian History.  On January 4, from 4-6 PM there will be a
session called "Boston's Queer Media of the 1970s and 1980s" chaired by
Marc Stein of York University, with panelists Amy Hoffman, Neil Miller, and
Charles Shively.

The History Project, established in 1980 by a group of historians,
activists, and archivists, is an all volunteer organization whose
mission is to document Boston's gay, lesbian, transgender, and bisexual
histoy.  For more information about The History Project, check the

Directions to the reception: Stanhope Street is located off Clarendon St.
near Columbus Ave.  The Boston Living Center is a block from the Orange
Line Back Bay stop and near the Green Line Copley Square stop on Boylston
St. Parking lots are located on Clarendon St. and Columbus Ave.
