Re: CD Life - Also Powerpoint vs CD Roms



Ah, the brave new world of digital documents. I just received a DVD-R
publication. There is an "electronic classroom" across the hall full of
computers with DVD-R drives. But these computers are Macs and won't read the
DVDs because they were created using Windows. There does not appear to be a
computer on campus at the moment that will read these DVDs.

I don't care if a CD will outlast the pyramids. The inconsistent formatting
and hardware/software obsolescence issues will always make them
problematical.
