I would appreciate your thoughts or policies about the use of cell
phones by patrons in your public research areas. Do you allow it or not. I
noticed to day how noisy our Research Room had become with rings, calls,
etc.
Sure, let them use the confounded things; just ask them if you can borrow it
every ten minutes and make a bunch of personal calls. Call Domino's while
they are sitting there and order a pizza for your office, then smugly remind
them there is no food allowed in the reading room when you hand them back
the phone...
