Please excuse cross-postings.

Announcing a new digital resource at the Getty Research Institute:

Mexico: from Empire to Revolution / México: del imperio a la revolución

This bilingual digital resource explores Mexican history and culture through
photographs taken by foreign photographers between 1857 and 1923. Displayed
are images documenting the brief empire of Maximilian in the 1860s, ruins of
ancient pre-Hispanic empires, Mexico's growth as an industrialized nation,
and the tumultuous revolution that began in 1910. Curatorial comments,
historical background, and a list of related resources provide context for
the materials presented here. All images are from the Getty Research
Institute's Special Collections.
