Topic Description: All organizations both public and private are wrestling
with the issue of how to effectively manage E-mail messages and their
associated attachments. This management issue goes beyond the 'walls' of the
organization to the distribution to clients and customers. We are indeed
dealing with the virtual office in the sharing of information. This
presentation will deal with the complex issues confronting the management,
dissemination and disposition of E-mails and attachments and the development
of policies and procedures to govern end-users in using this communication
vehicle. Also addressed are available tools to assist organizations in this
critical management issue.

Speakers' Biographies: Fred V. Diers, CRM FAI is a Senior Associate with
Baker Robbins & Company in New York City. The firm, with offices worldwide,
provides technology consulting to both the Legal community and Corporations
in E-Commerce, Document Management, Records Management, System Integration,
Workflow, and Information Management System designs.Previously, he was with
Archer Management Services, Inc. of New York.

As Vice President of Document Management Services, Mr. Diers was responsible
for all Records and Information Management components providing outsourcing
and consulting solutions to Archer Management?s clients. He provided program
guidance to multi-national organizations throughout the world developing and
implementing records management systems and standards.

His 30-year career in Records Management has evolved from traditional
records management programs for large multinational corporations to
integrating data and document management systems with print media ensuring
client access to complete and accurate information.Mr.

Diers holds a BA in Liberal Arts from Boise State University. He is Past
President of ARMA International and the International Records Management
Council. He is a Certified Records Manager, Past Vice President of the
Institute of Certified Records Managers and a Fellow of ARMA International.

He has received numerous awards and recognitions including the prestigious
Emmett Leahy Award and ARMA?s Distinguished Service Award. Mr. Diers has
lectured throughout the world on Records and Information Management
subjects, and has written articles for the ARMA Journals and various trade
publications.

Mr. Kudel, a Senior Associate, has over 22 years of experience in IT
management, strategic planning, application, product and organizational
development, and technology consulting. He has extensive expertise in
network and system design, system integration, computer operations, and risk
and quality management.

Mr. Kudel has served as an interim IT Director, managed large,
multi-discipline projects; conducted business process redesign, strategic
business and technology planning activities; and directed product research
and development efforts.

Mr. Kudel?s two decades of experience in the information technology industry
include tenures in the education, financial services, health care,
commercial and financial printing, system integration and technology
consulting industries. Since Joining Baker Robbins & Company Mr. Kudel has
served as interim IT Director for several top 20, international law firm;
assisted clients with organizational development and restructuring,
management recruiting, product selection; and developing strategic business
plans. Prior to joining Baker Robbins & Company Mr. Kudel was Executive
Director of Strategic Planning and Products for the Professional Services
Division of an international competitive local exchange carrier where he was
responsible for standardizing products and processes; directing large-scale
system implementation projects; staff recruiting and development; and
managing the redesign of internal business processes.

Mr. Kudel has a BA in Economics from the University of Denver and an MBA in
Information and Decision Systems from the University of Illinois, Chicago.

Plan to attend the GWDC ARMA Chapter's annual seminar featuring Don Avedon
on April 2, 2001.  The seminar is entitled:
"Electronic Imaging: A to Z"
