SAA Government Records Section Web Site

January 4, 2001

Dear Colleagues:

The Government Records Section of the Society of American Archivists is
pleased to announce the establishment of:

http://governmentrecordssection.org/

Ms. Anita Taylor Doering of the La Crosse Public Library, La Crosse WI, has
done a terrific job of putting this site together for the Section.

The site is at an early stage of creation, so please take a little time to
review, and make suggestions for the improvement of, this site. But be sure
to send Ms. Doering (ad@lacrosse.lib.wi.us) ample praise.

The Government Records Section encourages new and renewing members of the
Society of American Archivists to consider joining the Section. We are also
soliciting articles for the next issue of the Government Records News,
edited by Mr. Timothy Johnson of the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis,
MN (johns976@tc.umn.edu). The next issue is scheduled for publication in
Spring 2001, and the current issue is available on the web site.

Thanks,

Jim Cassedy
Chair, Government Records Section
