Sources on watermarks

I need to identify a 19th century watermark, and I am running into
problems finding source materials. Being a relatively new librarian
and archivist, I know I'm missing something.

Any suggestions would be helpful, in aiding me to identify if this is
an authentic watermark. The document is supposed to be about
1847 and the watermark reads TWEED WEAVE and it is an
advertisement for J Hapgood Manufacturer.

Thank you,
