Query: Continuing education programs, archivists, and the public

I am examining the way that institutions with a vested interest in the preservation of records of enduring value are approaching the development of continuing education programs. I feel that one of the key problems facing archivists in the 21st century is developing continuing education programs that meet the needs of practicing archivists and the needs of the non-archival general public. What types of continuing education programs are your institutions offering to the general public and archivists? Also, do you separate these two groups when planning such educational programs and why? Please respond to me off the list at gdaines@das.state.ut.us I will summarize the responses that I receive in a couple of weeks.
