Jackie,

You could freeze the certificate to halt the mold spores,
making them inactive. And then vacuum the document (using
cheesecloth over the nozzle.)  A commercial strenth set-dry
vacuum or a HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Arrestant)
vacuum is recommended.  Another option would be to send the
document to a company that has a fumigation chamber.  This
may be the easiest thing to do since you have just one
document.  I do not know the names of any fumigation
companies off-hand, but I am certain many people on this
list will know.
