Summer Internship in Prescott, Arizona

The Sharlot Hall Museum in Prescott, Arizona, is offering an archival
internship for students in history and library science. The Archives staff
at the Museum collects, preserves, and makes available to the public
historic information of the Central Mountain Region of Arizona with an
emphasis on Yavapai County and its towns.

The internship will offer the opportunity to participate and gain practical
experience in all aspects of archival management in a medium-sized
historical society. This year's intern will assist with the day-to-day
management of the Archives and will be exposed to a variety of tasks and
responsibilities. Responsibilities would include acquisition and appraisal,
arrangement and description, and reference and outreach.

The stipend for this internship is $3000 (no benefits included) to be paid
out in installments every two weeks. Interns will be expected to work 36
hours per week for 10 weeks between the beginning of May and the end of
August, depending on individual availability. Successful candidates must
provide own room, board, and travel.
