Section 106 Review courses

The University of Nevada, Reno is pleased to announce the 2001 Schedule
and Locations for the "Introduction to Section 106 Review" courses.

This up-to-date two-day introductory course will help you understand how
Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation
Act (NHPA) protects historic properties. Because Section 106 requires
special review of federal and federally assisted
activities that could affect historic properties, the Advisory Council
on Historic Preservation - the agency that administers
Section 106 review - has designed this course to help you understand and
anticipate historic preservation responsibilities under
the Council's new regulations, which went into effect on January 11,
2001.
