Job Announcement
Position:  Librarian

Responsibilities
ú Assist patrons in using the library collection
ú Supervise volunteers
ú Answer research by mail requests
ú Catalog and care for the library collection, including books, manuscripts,
maps and photographs

Qualifications
ú Education and/or experience in library work
ú Knowledge of historical and genealogical research methods
ú Knowledge of and interest in Germantown history desirable

The position of Librarian will be available as of March 13, 2001.
This is a part-time position, Tuesdays and Thursdays 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and
alternating Sundays 1-5 p.m.

The Germantown Historical Society is an educational and information resource
center dedicated to preserving, protecting and interpreting the significant
national and local history of Germantown's rich and diverse cultural heritage.
 Through the resources of its collection, the historical society carries out
its mission by maintaining a museum, library and archives, and visitor's
