(U-WIRE) RADFORD, Va. -- At a Feb. 25 ceremony held to open the new Arthur J.
Goldberg Collection of more than 1,600 volumes and papers, retired Sen.
Daniel Patrick Moynihan, D-NY, shared his belief that President Kennedy would
never have been elected had it not been for the influence of Goldberg, a
long-time distinguished visiting professor at Radford University.
According to Moynihan, following the 1960 Democratic National Convention, he
had visited the home of New York Gov. William Harriman, where he saw Arthur
Goldberg next to the pool convincing George Meany, new chairman of the
AFL-CIO, to support John Kennedy for president.

(U-WIRE) FORT WORTH, Texas -- Roger and Cheryl Cullen may not be familiar
names to most people or even to themselves.
According to A&E television network's "Investigative Reports: Stolen
Identity," the couple used the identities of 12 people by collecting
information from driving records, which gave them the most important credit
card qualification: social security numbers.
More than 40,000, complaints many including driver's license fraud, were made
from consumers and victims of identity theft to the Federal Trade Commission
from Nov. 1, 1999 to Dec. 31, 2000.
