Association of Canadian Archivists' Institute, 11 to 13 June, 2001

Dear Colleagues,

Go 'Down Under' up North by attending the Association of
Canadian Archivists' June 2001 Institute in Winnipeg, Manitoba,
Canada on "Modern Archives and the Australian Experience". The
Institute will be led by distinguished and well known Australian
archivists Sue McKemmish and Chris Hurley.

Australian archivists have made a number of significant
contributions to archival thinking and administration over the last 50
years. They have had important things to say on just about every
key issue and development in contemporary archives. And when
possible, members of the archival community travel to Australia to
learn and share ideas. Unfortunately, only the few who can travel to
Australia have learned about these ideas and seen their
implementation firsthand. Australians do travel to other countries,
but usually to give conference papers, rather than to provide an
extended introduction to their ideas and experiences.

Until now....
