Internet Moving Images Archive expands

The Internet Moving Images Archive (http://www.moviearchive.org) site now
holds digital video (MPEG-2) files representing 750 films. A growing
number of MPEG-4 (smaller and friendlier to download) are also available;
soon all titles will be downloadable in both formats.

The site has also been redesigned for easier navigation and contains much
more information on technical requirements, players and downloading.

To contextualize the site, I have also begun to collect links to ephemeral
film resources on the Web and build a bibliography on these genres. These
are available at http://www.prelinger.com.

In the first two months since the site was built, over 11,000 films have
been downloaded by users.
